Pumanaw na ang asawa ni Noli de Castro na si Arlene Sinsuat ngayong Sabado nang umaga, ayon sa kumpirmasyon ng anak nilang si Katherine.

Post ni Katherine, general manager ng People’s Television Network sa Facebook, “Thank you for your prayers.

“As of now, we are still finalizing plans for her burial.”

Aniya pa, “I feel so down. My head hurts and my tears never seem to stop.”

Samantala, hindi binanggit kung ano ang sanhi ng pagkamatay ni Arlene.

Nag-umpisa ang media career ni Arlene noong 1981 sa MBS-4 (Maharlika Broadcasting System).

Naging bahagi rin siya ng ABS-CBN Corp. bilang executive producer at noong 1990s, na-promote siya bilang Vice President of the Current Affairs Department ng naturang network.

Pansamantalang ipinagbawal ang “non-essential travels” sa Baguio City nang isang linggo simula ngayong Sabado dahil sa banta ng COVID-19 Delta variant.

Isinailalim sa general community quarantine (GCQ) ang Baguio City ngunit saad ng lokal na pamahalaan, “But as early as now, we must take the initiative to enhance our COVID-19 management strategy to preempt, if not minimize, this new health threat to our community.”

Samantala, paalala naman ni City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, maaaring mabago ang naturang advisory base sa magiging desisyon ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).

Saad pa ni Magalong, “I appeal for patience and cooperation from the public for this sudden change in policy as this is the appropriate action that is necessary for the situation at hand.”

Nanawagan din si Magalong sa mga residente ng Baguio City na limitahan lamang ang pagbiyahe.

Aniya pa, “Should there be instances where travel outside is absolutely necessary, let us always practice minimum public health protocols at all times, in consideration of our family members and loved ones waiting for us at home.”

Ex-MTRCB, PCSO Chairman Morato, pumanaw na sa edad na 87

Pumanaw na ang dating Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) at Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chairman na si Manoling Morato noong Biyernes.

Saad ng MTRCB sa kanilang Facebook post, "The whole of the MTRCB family joins in mourning the loss of Manuel 'Manoling' Morato, former chairperson and legend of the Philippine entertainment industry.

“Your contributions to history, the national discourse and the lives of the Filipino people will remain ever large in our hearts. You will be missed Sir!"

Maging si Senator Imee Marcos ay nagpahayag din ng pakikiramay sa mga naulila ni Morato.

Samantala, hindi binanggit kung ano ang sanhi ng pagkamatay ni Morato. Si Morato ay naging chairman ng MTRCB simula noong 1986 hanggang 1992.

Nagsilbi naman siya bilang chairman at board member ng PCSO noong panunungkulan ni dating Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
